EMERGENCIES vs NON-EMERGENCIES

If lines are busy or you are calling after hours for non-emergencies, please leave a message with the following information:
  • • Your name
  • • Your address
  • • Phone number to be reached at
  • • Description of the situation
  • Non-emergency situations are considered as the following:
  • • Pot holes
  • • Street name signs (repaired, damaged, needed)
  • Emergency situations are considered potentially hazardous situations which constitute a danger to human life or serious damage to individual property. Examples would include:
  • • Trees down across streets
  • • Flooding in streets
  • • Icy streets
  • • Water line breaks
  • • Sewer line breaks
  • Tort Claims

A Tort Claim is an insurance claim for damages that may have occurred to your property or persona whereby the City may have been liable. Incidents are reviewed by a Self-Insurers agent who determines whether the claim is legitimate. Not all claims are awarded compensation.
